This full 12” Scrapbook heart border was created in Nova’s Art
Explosion Scrapbook Factory software. (I believe any software that
allows you to set your page to legal size would work as well - Including
Microsoft Word. Just go to file- page setup - paper - and choose legal
size).
I had set up my page to “legal size”, and centered the 12” in the middle
of the 14” allowed for the legal size paper. I’m running the border the
long way (obviously, since it’s only 8.5” wide).
I used a heart and rose clip art, duplicated and sized 7 of these hearts
to fit the 12 inches – edge to edge. They overlap and form one
continuous border. I then printed out the outline onto legal size card
stock (this paper accepts the paint better), and cut out the outline
around the ‘welded’ hearts. Using Making Memories Paint, I hand
painted the simple rose, and highlighted the heart shape for each
section.
