Full 12” Borders

Using the similar technique as in the Hand Painted
Heart Scrapbooking Border, I used Nova’s
Scrapbook Factory (any program that lets you set
your parameters to legal size - 8.5” x 14” - will print
out these borders -Including Microsoft Word.  Just
go to file- page setup - paper - and choose legal
size.  There's a screen shot of Word and the
directions for using Word to make these borders in
Hand Painted Heart Border).  Inside of Scrapbook
Factory and with my page open to Legal Size, I
inserted clip art borders from PC Crafter Hugware.
They wouldn't stretch to 12” (they lost too many
pixels along the way) so I duplicated 3 images and
set them next to each other, barely touching, and
did a ‘wallpaper seam’ – trying to minimize the area
where they overlap.  I was able to fit a lot of borders
on one sheet of 8.5” x 14” paper.  If you want a more
polished look in your printing – I use 13”x 19” photo
paper and cut it to 8.5”x 13”, and it works fine.  I just
start my border closer to the top edge (in the
program) to fit in the whole 12” (not centering it in
the middle of legal size 14”).

After printing them, I just cut them out – usually
using a guillotine paper cutter.  But, it would look
really nice to cut them out with decorative scissors.
In this picture and for demonstration purposes,
there are a lot of borders adhered to 12”x 12” black
card stock.
