Okay, remember this?
This is actually our formal sitting room, stacked to the brim with all the stuff from my work room. So, this became this:
And a room that was totally overcrowded and unusable as a work room is now completely ready! I put in a wall of storage units:

And my computer desk is now usable, with my pen rack all set up!
And the punch rack has a new home, next to my collection of Sugarloaf Clear See Ds stamps:

The bookcase is both for books and my diecuts:

And my work table is on the other side of those paints, all set up and ready to get some work done!! I couldn’t be more excited. It took way longer than I wanted it to, but I’m so glad it’s done!

I have a stack of articles to write and pub calls to work on – but I have no further excuses for not getting to them. My workspace is complete!

Well our first Blog Challenge for the Green Sneakers Blog has just ended. Thank you so much for making it a lot of fun. I got so many cards made – my card box is ready to face the year ahead! I’ll have a card all set to go whenever the occasion calls!
I’d like to send out special thanks to our RAK winners Stephanie Ackerman, Andrea Wiebe, and Nadine Buston. All of your cards are just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them in them in our Gallery. And thank you for joining in on the Challenge!! I hope your ‘all occasion’ card collection is filling up, too! I know how good it feels to use up some scraps!
Be on the lookout in your mailboxes, I hope to get them mailed out on Tuesday (Feb 20th)- weather permitting! And speaking of weather, the challenge wasn’t able to close on Valentine’s Day, because with our 6 inches thick of ice for a yard, the cables were frozen and the internet was out! I feel like I’ve been stranded on a desert island for 3 days!! I hope that never happens again – we’re looking into getting a better service provider immediately!

My Good Luck card I put in the Blog Challenge Gallery
The blog question is to blog about 10 beautiful things I own. I do have ten beautiful things here, but I don’t see myself as “owning” them – rather, I’m just acting as their caretaker for the next generation. I inherited some gorgeous antique pieces of furniture from my mother’s side of the family. I love them, I’ve cared for them, and I’ve hand moved them through each and every one of our military moves. It took a lot of energy, effort and money to keep these “beautiful things” in good condition, but it was worth it. I will enjoy them, care for them, and keep them safe, until it’s my time to pass them on to my children. And then they can be “owned” by these beautiful things!!

Here’s a “before” shot of my Scraproom. I don’t have an “after” shot yet – it’s what I’ll be working on this week – but I hope I’ll end up with an “after” shot worth posting!!
It’s not “little known” that I’m messy, or I like to spread my craft supplies out all over the house. Everyone who knows me, knows I’m crazy about my children, I love living in our neighborhood, I love our neighbors, and the neighborhood children are wonderful, as well. There’s only one little ‘factoid’ about me that I never talk about – there’s absolutely no reason to bring it. But it’s the only thing I can think of to answer the blog challenge question. I started at UConn (University of Connecticut) when I was 15, and graduated in 5 semesters. There’s a reason they call it “trivia” – because it’s usually very ‘trivial’!!

And I still have to start making those gatefold cards for the “Use Your Scraps Card Making” – Blog Challenge!! Which brings me to my answer for the blog question of the day…
What are 5 things I want to improve upon in the upcoming year….
1. TIME MANAGEMENT!!! So much to do, so little time! My to do list is HUGE, and I’ve got to find a way to prioritize it. It’s not the family stuff in the way, I can handle all of that, it’s all of the other activities within my business day – it’s a lot. I’ve got to find a way to get it all organized, prioritized and DONE!!
2. I’m currently in the process of building my art studio – I mean literally as I sit here amongst the rubble of all my supplies on the floor – and one thing that has been a constant source of trouble for me (throughout my whole life) is that even if I get things clean and straightened out – they don’t always stay that way for long. So my next “improvement” issue – is, after the art room is finished, and everything has a place – keep it neat and organized so I can work project after project!
3. I may be a packrat. I always believe that there will be a use for something in the future, and it’s a waste of time and money to throw anything away! I don’t know why I mention this as an “improvement” issue – since I don’t have any intention of changing….. (which isn’t to say that I shouldn’t change!)
4. There are skills I wish to master. Techniques and art venues that I’ve dabbled in – that I want to become proficient in. Possibly some of this might entail taking classes, some are going to require a lot more practice time – either way – I’d like to get much better at these things.
5. I want to use what I have. Which isn’t to say that I wouldn’t buy more….LOL, it’s just that I would like to see ink stains on my stamps instead of sparkling, brand new, still in the original packaging stamps. If I bought them because I wanted them – then I should use them for the same reason!!
There – my top five! Wow, as I reread them, they are so true for me – if I could just improve on those 5 – I’d be tickled pink! I may print this out and put in on my bulletin board!
